Statement on Sourcing and Consent

The Bodies exhibition displays real human bodies and anatomical specimens preserved through plastination for educational purposes.

All specimens were obtained from legally authorized anatomical donation programs and accredited medical institutions, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The providers certify that the bodies were donated for scientific and educational use and were not obtained through coercion, criminal activity, or unethical practices.

All individuals are presented anonymously, with no identifying personal information displayed. The exhibition is designed to promote scientific understanding and respect for the human body.

Visitors are encouraged to make an informed choice before entering the exhibition.

The Purpose of Plastination

Plastination is a scientific preservation technique that replaces water and lipids in biological tissues with durable polymers. This process halts decomposition while maintaining the body’s anatomical structure in great detail.

Its purpose is to support scientific study, medical training, and public education by allowing real human anatomy to be observed safely, clearly, and over long periods of time. Plastination makes it possible to understand the structure, complexity, and function of the human body in ways that illustrations or models cannot.
